The disciples trying as hard as they can to drive out a demons and falling flat on their faces because they are unable to make a dent in the mess they find themselves in.  Finally, the boys father runs to JESUS and asks for Him to do it, because His followers weren't able to.  Now, the question here is why?  Why weren't JESUS' followers able to cast out the evil spirit?  JESUS puts it down to their lack of faith.

So little faith means so little deeds,  JESUS doesn't want us to fall flat on our faces, that's why He offers this illustration.  For us to see that even those closest to Him were unable to walk tall everyday.  Just remember that all the faith we need is a little as the smallest seed; that is all that is required for us to stand tall.

Sometimes it's hard for us to come up with even the littlest amount of faith, things can sometimes drag us down so far that we can't see because of how deep the hole we find ourselves in.  GOD doesn't want us to give up, throw in the towel, and call it a day,  He want's us to persevere, and to succeed; JESUS wants us to walk tall everyday, and all we need to do that is have faith.  Even the smallest amount of faith is enough for GOD to meet all our needs.

LORD, increase my faith
