Unfailing Love

"Though
He brings grief, He will show
compassion, so great is His unfailing
love."
Lamentations 3:32
Growing up there were many times that my parents were forced to have to punish me because I wouldn't behave, but no matter how badly I messed up my parents never stopped loving me. Sometimes the punishments differed anything from grounding to what I believe was my dad's personal favorite, (moving the wood pile from point A to point B than back to Point A because it was better over there after all).
When GOD has to punish us He never does it out of spite or to hurt us. We may get a heavenly grounding or He may do much the same as my father did and uproot something in our lives and have us seek Him to put things right again. Remember this though, His love is unfailing.
How much more does GOD love us? His love is unfailing, meaning that no matter how badly we mess up with Him, He will always love us the same and it never changes. GOD doesn't love us less just because we don't love Him the most in our lives. Even though He has to punish us He will show us compassion and mercy, that is how greatly our Heavenly Father's unfailing love for us is. His love and mercy never change, their infallible.
The truth has been shown to you through the Son, what are you going to get up and do about it?
