Unfailing Love
[21]
"The
LORD delights
in those who fear Him,
who put their hope in His
unfailing love."
Psalms 147:11
This isn't fear in the sense you may be thinking where your so scared that your going to wet your pants out of shear terror. To fear the LORD is a holy fear, it is out of reverence and awe, a fear out of love for the FATHER. We never have to be afraid that GOD is just sitting up in heaven with a lightning bolt waiting to strike us down if we anger Him. GOD doesn't want us to be too afraid to interact with Him, otherwise why would He have sent His Son to prepare the way for us to reach Him.
So, now we can say that GOD delights in those of us who love (fear) Him. We also know He delights in us when we put our trust in His unfailing love which shouldn't be just when we need Him the most. We should trust in His unfailing love every day, week, year, not just when we've fallen so deep into a pit that we can't even see light above us.
GOD wants us to live in His unfailing love without taking breaks, that's when He can bless us the most, and give us what we really need. Ask yourself what is it that you really need? GOD knows the desires of your heart and He is able and willing to fill your needs. You've heard me say this time and again but it's true; 'all we have to do is ask.'
The truth has been shown to you through the Son, what are you going to get up and do about it?
