Unfailing Love

the king trusts in the LORD;
through the unfailing love of the Most
High he will not be shaken."
Psalms
21:7
David knew to trust in the LORD because His unfailing love would see him through whatever trail he faced in his every day life. And, if you decide to read through the Psalms you'll see that David was in need of GOD'S assistance through-out most of his life. From being a shepherd boy watching his father's sheep, to battling Goliath, to his time in King Saul's court, into his own reign as king of Israel. David was always willing to accept GOD'S hand, even if sometimes he had to be shown the way by GOD'S prophet Nathan.
How many times in our daily lives are we faced with a problem that can only be solved by our accepting a helping hand from our Father? GOD loves us so much that He gave us His Son to show us the way to Him. Sometimes we just don't want to accept that His help is the only way for us to escape. Sometimes He has to send someone to smack us upside the head to get us to realize that He's here to fix our problems, all we have to do is listen.
Now, I don't know about you but I can be pretty dense sometimes. It can take one heck of a wake up call for me to see that I'm even in need of help, and when I finally figure it out, to be honest I really don't want to do anything about it. I like to think that everything is fine in my little universe, after-all, it's cool because I know everyone there. I've had several times that someone has had to call me onto the mat and get me in check, before I am willing to trust that GOD'S unfailing love will fix my problem and see me through.
The truth has been shown to you through the Son, what are you going to get up and do about it?
