I'm in dire straights, I don't know what to do or where to turn, what should I do?  These were quite possibly some of the questions that went through David's mind while he was writing this psalm.  And what did GOD do?  He heard David's cry and answered the cry of his heart. How does this relate to us?  Because of GOD'S unfailing love He will also answer the cries from our hearts when we call out to Him for help.

He is willing to answer our prayers when we ask for help from Him, but that doesn't mean that all our prayers will be answered as soon as we call for help.  And if our prayers aren't answered right away it doesn't mean that we are in any way at fault, sometimes what we want and what GOD wants for us aren't always the same thing.  Just like when you ask your mom or dad for something He just might say no, or not right now.

But, that doesn't mean that what your asking for is wrong it could just be the wrong time.  GOD loves to answer our prayers and see to our needs.  Sometimes our needs are really just our wants and that's when we confuse the fact that GOD does in fact want to fill our needs, but not always our wants.
