GOD Is greater than our hearts

"This then is how we know that we belong to the truth,
and how we set our hearts at rest in
His presence whenever
our hearts condemn us.  For
GOD is greater than our hearts
and
He knows everything."
1 John 3:19,20

John is trying to get us to understand that if we don't feel condemnation in our hearts when we are in His presence, we know then that we are living in the truth, for GOD is so much greater than ourselves that it would only seem proper that in His presence we feel condemned for our sins.  But he goes on to say that GOD knows everything, so we can conclude that GOD knows our hearts and sees the sincerity of our repentance when we do ask for it.

What is it in your heart that drives or motivates you?  Is it popularity?  The need to be known by others around your school?  Or is it a desire to have earthly objects and possessions, things that only money can buy?  These aren't the things that GOD wants for us, or what He wants to be the motivating factors is our lives.  GOD knows what we want and think we need, and He also knows what is best for us. Sometimes our desires are different that what He knows we need.

There have been times in my life that I've had to accept that just because I want it does not mean its what's best for me.  Only GOD knows what's best for us, and He doesn't have to check with us before He decides to fill our needs.

The truth has been shown to you through the Son, what are you going to get up and do about it?

"All who call upon the Name of the LORD will be saved."
Romans 10:13
