GOD Is pleased with sacrifices of love for others

"And do not forget to do good and to share with others,
for with such sacrifices GOD is pleased."
Hebrews 13:16

Sounds like a Sunday School lesson doesn't it?  Sharing is something we learn in kindergarten.  True enough, but what about the second half of that sentence?  With such sacrifices GOD is pleased?  This is how we are to give.  Just as JESUS gave everything He had for us.  If you see someone in need, and you have more than you need give up a little to help the other.  Love is more than merely the words that come out of our mouths, it is in our actions.

And what does GOD do when He sees us giving of ourselves for others?  He fills our needs for us.  But we shouldn't decide to do good just for the purpose of getting rewards, GOD is not fooled by the heart or mind of man.  When we do good and sacrifice out of selflessness GOD knows our hearts and motivations are pure.

GOD fills our needs for us out of His love for us.  GOD wants to give us the chance to fill a need in our lives that we might not realize we even have.  He wants you to open up your heart to Him and allow Him to consume your life, the only way to do that is to accept JESUS as your Lord, and the way was opened by JESUS' sacrifice for us.  No wonder GOD is pleased with our sacrifices for Him, JESUS sacrificed all to allow us the chance to be accepted.  And we sacrifice our needs for ourselves to give to others who needs exceed ours GOD is pleased with us.

The truth has been shown to you through the Son, what are you going to get up and do about it?
