GOD Is treating you as sons

"Endure hardship as discipline; GOD is treating you as sons.
For what son is not disciplined by his father?"

Hebrews 12:7

We face one form or other of hardship on a daily basis, whether at school, or home.  But, we are to endure, but why should I endure said hardships?  "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of GOD to be revealed.  For the creation was not subjected frustration by its own choice, but by the will of the ONE who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of GOD." Romans 8:18-21.

That is our future glory.

This is the reason we should endure our hardships.  But, why compare enduring hardships to discipline?  Its because GOD wants us to know that He is treating us as sons and daughters.  "The Lord disciplines those He loves, and punishes everyone He accepts as a son."  Hebrews 11:6   How many times I heard growing up, my parents telling me they were punishing me for my own good.  I never believed them, I thought they were full of it.  I never understood what it really meant when they disciplined me.  Now looking back I can see the values that only discipline instilled in my life.

But GOD not only wants us to endure our hardships, He wants us to learn from them just as we learn from the times that our parents have had to discipline us.  And only through learning from our hardships can we grow.

The truth has been shown to you through the Son, what are you going to get up and do about it?

"All who call upon the Name of the LORD will be saved."
Romans 10:13
