God Is The Builder Of Everything

"For every house is built by someone, but GOD is the builder of everything."
Hebrews 5:4

Have you ever built something by hand and felt the satisfaction of a job well done?  When I was a kid my friends and I all had skateboards, I remember building a ramp that we used to do jumps off of.  I remember the feeling I had when I finished it; we would take it over to the neighbors house and set it up to Ollie off and onto a bench so we could grind.  That ramp lasted years before it finally broke down. But I still remember the fun we used to have.

Since GOD is the builder of everything, not just something here and there but everything we see, every day.  In this chapter of Hebrews we are hearing about the honor that is bestowed to the person that builds being a greater honor that what was built.  JESUS being raised by a carpenter must have seen His earthly father build many objects, and is seeing these things must have realized the honor bestowed on His father.  How much more honor should we show to our heavenly Father?

If, as it says the builder is to be shown more honor than that which was built.  And remembering that GOD is the architect of our lives and the builder of everything we see we need to show Him honor everyday.  He made us out of nothing but dust and His own image.  It is out of our love, respect, and honor we show our devotion to our heavenly Father.  But GOD wants to give us a chance to open our hearts up to Him and invite Him to live in us.

The truth has been shown to you through the Son, what are you going to get up and do about it?

"All who call upon the Name of the LORD will be saved."
Romans 10:13
